Armenian genocide memorial, Holy Martyrs Armenian Church, destroyed by our allies in Syria

The "murderous" Assad "regime" had helped build this memorial.

Canada helped in the destruction by sending 48M dollars of  taxpayers' hard earned money  to ensure that the terrorist gangs there were well armed and well-fed.  We are being lied to when our politicians tell us that the money going from Canada to Syria is going to feed and clothe the  "refugees"  ... can they prove that?  Most of the money from Judeo-Christian nations is paying for more arsenal and energy drinks and food  for the murderers rampaging in Syria .... without those funds the civil war there would have ended months ago.

The opposition blames the Syrian army for the destruction and the "regime" blame the terrorist gangs who are infighting to wrench control of  territories from each other. The  gangs are purposely operating from churches and mosques and hoping that the  Syrian army will not target these places.  What a total mess and to think we are funding part of it !!!!!

DER ZOR, Syria (A.W.)—The Armenian Genocide Martyrs  Memorial Church in Der Zor, also known as the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church, has been severely damaged as a result of shelling, as revealed by video footage taken by locals and shared on YouTube today.

The lower level of the museum and memorial, where the remains of victims of the Armenian Genocide are kept, seems to be in ruins as well. It is unclear from the footage whether they were removed prior to the attacks.

Der Zor has witnessed clashes between the rebels and the Syrian Army since the beginning of the armed conflict in the country. The few Armenian families living in the city left months ago.

Hundreds of thousands of Armenian deportees were massacred in Der Zor in the summer of 1916.

The memorial was consecrated in 1991...........

Congratulations Israel .... my hat's off for your stand against the world's #1 bully, the UN

How many other countries will have the balls to do the same?  Canada ? .... hopefully !!    What a wonderful day !!!  The fucking UN can write volumes on Israel's Human Rights violations but are bribed into silence when it comes to the hellhole Muslim countries.  Every non-Muslim country worth their salt should boycott the UN when they are sent summons to appear for  Human Rights reviews, for obvious reasons.

....Remigiusz Henczel: "We were to convene this afternoon to proceed with the review of Israel; however, I see that the delegation of Israel is not in the room."

UK snags Algeria in their conniving net

Stealth strategy of divide and conquer.  Very soon you can expect to see Algeria, with UK and France muscle firmly behind it, inside the borders of Somalia, Nigeria, Mali, Mauritania and anybody and everybody else who doesn't fall in line and say "Yes Massa".

The colonizers are on the march again.

The Prime Minister says he wants   to see a "tough approach on security" to combat Al Qaeda-linked terrorists in the region but says the solution is not "purely a military one"

Speaking shortly after arriving in Algiers for a meeting with President Bouteflika, Prime Minister David Cameron said he wanted to see closer co-operation with the Algeria and other governments in the region to combat terrorism but cautioned that armed interventions were not the only option.
"We don't look at this region of the world and think that the answer is purely a military one.
"It isn't, what is required in countries like Mali, just as countries like Somalia on the other side of Africa, is that combination of a tough approach on security, aid, politics, settling grievances and problems - an intelligent approach that brings together all the things we need to do with countries in this neighbourhood to help them, to make them safer, make us safer, make the world safer," said Mr Cameron.........

The deceit practiced by Britain's Britam and politicians all over and why I am on the side of hackers who expose the lies

Look ... if you are an advocate for the truth and nothing but the truth, why would you hold it against those hackers who are also after the same thing ?

In case you are wondering about Britam,  their full name is Britam Defence Systems and here's their website.   The highlights below are my  doing.

From CyberWarNews:

....The emails in this leak   and files and information mainly trace back to two Britam defence administration, one of which is the founder and dynamic director, Philip doughty and his Business Development Director David Goulding.

Extremely personal information such as a self complied C.V, copy’s of passports and more have been leaked from David and Philip as well as emails and other plans.

From a lot of the documents its very clear that britam is working closely and even offering types of training programs to the National Saudi Gaurd and some of its internal departments and specialist groups.

Company’s that have contracts with Britam range from a couple of thousand up to Millions of dollors and have been on going for some time now..

In the hackers release note they made it clear they got the data from a Malaysian based server and from a chart found within this data its shocking to see that Britam is using the security of McAfee but is not implementing this on the said server which is listed as a mail server.

Email between David Goulding who is the Business Development Director and Philip regarding a new offer about an operation in syria.

Phil

We’ve got a new offer. It’s about Syria again. Qataris propose an attractive deal and swear that the idea is approved by Washington.
We’ll have to deliver a CW to Homs, a Soviet origin g-shell from Libya similar to those that Assad should have.
They want us to deploy our Ukrainian personnel that should speak Russian and make a video record.
Frankly, I don’t think it’s a good idea but the sums proposed are enormous. Your opinion?

Kind regards
David

Israel destroys convoy of weapons going to Hezbollah from Syria

With this, the conflict there has now  escalated  to unknown heights and when the dust settles down, which would  be when?  years or decades from now?  ..... the  Muslim countries there  will have successfully ridden the lands under their control, of all Christians.  If  Israel  was not threatened on a daily basis by her neighbours,  Israel would not have had to be constantly on guard and take drastic military action to safeguard themselves.

It's about time all the Muslim countries were forced to split up like Sudan has.  The Christians and other minorities can be left in their own patches to live in peace and the Muslims can continue killing each other much to our satisfaction and viewing pleasure.

Ben Hubbard of AP reporting that:
Israel conducted an airstrike inside Syria overnight  near the border with Lebanon, hitting a convoy of trucks, U.S. and regional officials said Wednesday.

The regional officials said Israel had been planning in the days leading up to the airstrike to hit a shipment of weapons bound for the Islamist militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon. They said the shipment included sophisticated, Russian-made SA-17 anti-aircraft missiles, which would be strategically "game-changing" in the hands of Hezbollah....

France .... a civil war in the cards ?

CBS interviews some of the Generation Identitiares members readying for the inevitable battle that their cowardly leaders are unable to see at their doorstep

From Dale Hurd, CBS Sr.Report:
...PARIS - It was a political protest with shock value,  the likes of which has never been seen on French TV news: a group of young people stormed a mosque in the city of Portiers, going to the roof and unfurling a banner calling for a national referendum on Muslim immigration.

The banner included the number 732, the year Charles Martel defeated the Islamic invasion in Portiers.
The group calls itself Generation Identitaire, or Generation Identity. They say they are at war with "the 68'ers," the baby boomers who run France, for wrecking their future with multicultural policies that some fear are turning France into a Muslim nation.
They released a video called "A Declaration of War."
In the video, members say, "We are Generation Identitaire. We are the generation of ethnic fracture, the total failure of coexistence, and the forced mixing of races. We have stopped believing in a 'Global Village' and the 'Family of Man.'"
Their rhetoric sounds racist, but they say they do not believe in racial superiority or racial stereotypes. Rather, they fear losing France to Muslim immigrants from Africa.

CBN News interviewed a leader of the group, Julien Langella, in the southern French city of Toulon.
"It's not about hate of other people," Langella insisted. "It's about heritage. It's about loving our people and our land. And we fight for this."
Groups like Generation Identitaire are symptoms of a nation that is coming unglued. They are an unintended but a predictable by-product of a failed multiculturalism that, instead of creating a melting pot, has created ethnic tribalism and dangerous "no-go zones."
"Assimilation is now impossible in France," Langella said. "It was possible when immigrants came from European countries because they are like us ethnically; they are like us culturally."

The Great Replacement
The French Republic, which is supposed to be strictly secular, has actively helped Muslims build mosques and spread Sharia law. Polls show most French are alarmed about it.
Renaud Camus, one of France's leading writers, said flatly that France is being colonized by Muslim immigrants with the help of the government and the media. He calls it "The Great Replacement."
"The Great Replacement is very simple," he explained. "You have one people, and in the space of a generation, you have a different people."
Camus accused the French media of covering up the situation in the name of political correctness, essentially telling the French that the Islamization they see happening with their own eyes is not happening.
"Television is saying every day and school is saying every day that what is happening is not happening, that it is all in your head, that it is an optical illusion," Camus told CBN News.
"Practically every day Catholic Churches are attacked, and people (are stoned) in a very old Muslim tradition. And if they can't deny that this has happened, they say that this is the result of racism," he said...........

Iran ... as irrational as always

I feel sorry for the good people of Iran who are at the mercy of  their mad, demonic government.

28 January 2013 - In a renewed crackdown on the news media in Tehran, plain-clothes intelligence ministry officials yesterday searched the headquarters of four daily newspapers – Etemad, Arman, Shargh and Bahar – and the weekly Aseman and, without giving any explanation, arrested at least 10 journalists.

Two other journalists were arrested the day before. Arrest warrants have been issued for other journalists.

“The constant persecution of journalists keeps on intensifying by the day,” Reporters Without Borders secretary-general Christophe Deloire said. “Iran has not yet emerged from the era of terror launched after the disputed June 2009 presidential election and now, five months before the next election in June 2013, a clear warning is being given – journalists and news media will be gagged.” ..........

Starlings give an amazing show in the Israeli sky

Anybody wanna bet that Iran and pallies will claim that these birds are trained by the Joos to spy on muzzies?!!

Go North Dakota young men .....

good fortune awaits you.   There's so much oil and gas in North America but our leaders suffer from Arab-Oil-Syndrome and are  blind to the riches in our own backyard.

......But Brevig's enthusiasm trumps   his exhaustion. With an economy fueled by new oil-drilling techniques, "It's a land of opportunity, by all means," he said. "You can grow into whatever you want here."

The Brevigs of the world are flocking to North Dakota in droves, modern frontiersmen transforming this recently dying flyover land into the fastest-growing state in the nation, according to the Census Bureau. Storefront signs scream "now hiring." Pickups and semis jam long stretches of two-lane highways. Backhoes claw the ground even in frozen January. Recreational vehicles occupy former farm fields next to row upon row of box-like modular living pods.

In Williston, the epicenter of the growth, the local hospital opened a new birthing center, workers are building a giant new rec center and students are overflowing in a school that once sat empty. Civic leaders have been approving building permits and hiring police and teachers and nearly every kind of government worker.

"We really can't grow fast enough," said Shawn Wenko, assistant director of economic development for the city of Williston. But amid the boundless opportunity, he conceded: "I'd be lying if I said it was all roses out here."

Lines at restaurants and stores are often frustratingly long, with few workers willing to take service jobs when more lucrative oil industry work is available. Rents have skyrocketed. With mostly men flooding into town to work, women hesitate to go out alone at night. There are more bar fights. Young parents can't find day care for their kids...........

.....Detective David Peterson said many companies do background checks on workers they hire. "I think there are a lot of hard-working individuals out here that are trying to save their homes and save their families in other parts of the nation," he said.............

Osoyoos .... enchantment awaits !

After watching Ezra Levant's interview with the extremely successful Indian Chief Clarence Louie of Osoyoos, I was struck with intense curiosity to read up on the chief and on Osoyoos.  I love success stories.

More than two years ago I had posted some gorgeous pics of "spotted" lakes, many of which are found in Osoyoos, but had forgotten about them soon after until Ezra's episode with the Osoyoos chief.

So, where exactly is Osoyoos? At the gateway to the Okanagan and Similkameen Valley lies Canada's only desert, and the delightful lakeside town of Osoyoos.  Go to the junction of Highway 97 and Highway 3 at the southern tip of the Okanagan Valley - Osoyoos is 2 kilometres away from the Canada - U.S. border, and shares Osoyoos Lake with Washington State.  The Unity Rider statue at the entrance to Osoyoos symbolizes the essence of this community - Coming Together.  In face, the name Osoyoos derives from an Okanagan First Nations word that describes "the narrows" or the coming together of two lakes.

What kind of stuff do the    numerous resorts offer?

I found the above at this Osoyoos blogger's site.

Wanna know what's going on in the hellholes our leaders tell us are our "allies" ?

The MSM not gonna tell you nothing.  They  are all compromised.  FoxNews has gone to the other side, only its shell remains.  NYTimes was lost long ago and so too every newspaper company trading on the stock exchanges ... whether those companies are American, Canadian, British or Australian .... every single one reports with one eye closed and one hand tied behind their back.  The Arabs have been buying stock in the  available print media for decades and they have successfully managed to place their own insiders on each and every BOD of each and every organization.  The only voice of any dissent is to be found on the internet.....at least for now until taken away.

Saudi Arabia:
Saudi authorities have ordered shops employing both men and women to build separation walls to enforce the strict segregation laws of the ultra-conservative kingdom, local press reported on Monday.
Labour minister Adel Faqih issued the order which also had the stamp of Abdul Latif Al Shaikh, the head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, commonly known as Mutawa and religious police, several dailies reported.
The order stipulated that a separation barrier, not shorter than 1.6 metres, should be erected to divide working men and women......

Bahrain:
The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) expresses grave concern   over the continued use of excessive force to restrict and attack freedom of expression and assembly in Bahrain despite announced plans by the regime for political dialogue.
On 25 January 2013, hundreds of Bahrainis took to the streets in the capital city of Manama and peacefully protested demanding their rights, including the right to self-determination. The Ministry of Interior set up security checkpoints and road blocks on streets leading to the capital to restrict access.
Despite these restrictions, people managed to get into Manama, and upon arrival, were violently attacked by a large number of security forces with tear gas and stun grenades, which also impacted people passing by and the shop keepers in the old market. Tear gas was shot from close distance at people in the narrow allies of Manama, which were crowded with protesters and shoppers.
The Ministry of Interior called the protest “illegal” in a statement, criminalizing freedom of assembly, at a time when Bahraini law only requires a notification rather than authorization for rallies.....

Oman:
....On 16 January the appeal court handed down prison sentences to eight writers and bloggers for lèse-majesté and cyber crimes:

- Esmaeel Al-Miqbali, received a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention.
- Hassan Al-Roqaishi received a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention.
- Eshaq Al-Aghbari, received a one-year sentence. He has been released.
- Ali al-Hajji had his sentence reduced from 18 months to one year. He is held in Samail central prison.
- Mahmoud Al-Jamodi was given a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention.
- Mukhtar Al-Hinai received a one-year sentence and a fine of 1,000 rials (1,950 euros). He is held in detention.

The appeal court also upheld the sentences on three other bloggers and activists, each of whom received a one-year prison term and a fine of 1,000 rials. All are held in detention : Ahmed Al-Maamari, Awad Al-Sawafi and Osama Al-Thuwaiya. .....

UAE:
UAE accuses 94 Emiratis of conspiring to sieze power    28 January 2013 - Today, the human rights record of the United Arab Emirates will be reviewed by the UN Human Rights Council as the situation in the country continues to deteriorate. On this occasion, the undersigned organisations call on Human Rights Council member-states to urge the United Arab Emirates to put an end to the current crackdown against peaceful human rights defenders and political activists and to honour its commitments as a newly elected member of the Human Rights Council to “uphold[s] the highest standards in the promotion and protection of human rights” (UN General Assembly resolution 50/251 para. 9).

Another attack on an oil facility in Algeria

This one on an oil pipeline.  Gotta wonder how many attacks there have been in muzzie lands which are kept under wraps by the powers-that-be that have big bucks riding on the oil companies operating in muzzie lands.

Lamine Chikhi writing at Reuters Algiers:
....Suspected Islamist militants attacked an oil pipeline in northern Algeria on Monday, killing two guards and wounding seven other people, a security source told Reuters.

The Djebahia region, some 70 km (45 miles) east of the capital, is a stronghold of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) which earlier this month killed 37 foreigners at a gas plant in the south, and is where its leader Abdelmalek Droukdel is believed to be based, the source said.

Militant attacks are relatively rare in the north of the country where there is a heavy security presence that pushed most AQIM activities south.

"In comparison to the In Amenas attack, this is a very minor event," the source said, referring to the gas plant attack.

AQIM's leader Droukdel is believed to be somewhere in a triangle of three northern cities: Boumerdes, Bouira and Tizi Ouzou, some 1,600 km (1,000 miles) from In Amenas, and has limited contact with other senior members of the group, the source said.

"The links are almost non-existent, and evidence of that is that there are no Libyan weapons with AQIM's militants in the north," a security source who asked not to be named told Reuters. The In Amenas attackers used arms smuggled across the desert border from Algeria's eastern neighbor.

Syrian Christians appeal for urgent assistance

Sad to see that the Judeo-Christian nations consider the Syrian Christians as "collateral damage" in their quest to vaporize Assad and his regime and thus weaken Iran.  Really sad to see that instead of helping the Christians, they are considered to be a millstone around the necks of  Christian politicians of the NATO countries....that's a fact .... because if it was not, there would be no talk of  military action against Assad and the Al Qaeda terrorists would have had no support from the West.

Syrian Orthodox and Catholics appeal for aid  in Hassake.Local Bishops Appeal For Humanitarian Assistance in Eastern Syrian Town. A new report from Fides News Agency stated that the people Hassake, the capital of Mesopotamia located in Eastern Syria is suffering tremendously from cold weather, lack of fuel and water, and limited electricity. According to the report, over 25,000 Christians (Syrian Orthodox, Syrian Catholics, and Chaldean Armenians) have crowded the city, mainly seeking refuge from the ongoing conflict. Many have sent messages to Fides asking for aid.

Two months ago, an appeal was made by three regional Bishops who "launched an SOS to avoid catastrophe."  The Bishops stated that "nothing has been done: no one cares for the exhausted population of Hassake, who urgently need humanitarian aid."

Syrian Catholic Bishop Jacques Behnan Hindo and Syrian Orthodox Bishop Matta Roham are intensifying efforts to contact other Christian Syrian leaders and humanitarian organizations, but the response they have received so far has been minimal. "It is impossible to bring aid to Hassake because it is too dangerous and lacks minimal security conditions," the Bishops stated.

Islamist groups and terrorists have occupied several areas of the region and have mposed several checkpoints on the roads. The "Jubhat el Nosra" militants were recently added by the United States to the black list of "terrorist groups". The area has also been overrun by common criminals who commit robbery, kidnapping, looting, even in the city. The population "is slowly dying, left to itself," Fr. Ibrahim, a Christian priest resident in Hassake told Fides.
"The people are hungry and living in fear," he continued. "Every day, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, there is a sort of curfew, because armed groups roam the streets. This is followed by kidnappings, sometimes with ransom demands, not always. In recent days, two brothers of the Bashr family and two young members of the Fram family were killed at point blank range on the street. Young Christians are threatened and terrified, 90% have fled the city. If young people leave, what will our churches be needed for? "

Georgius, a Christian university student whose family is in Hassake and has taken refuge in Lebanan told Fides that the "Jubhat el Nosra" militants have specifically targeted youth born between 1990 and 1992.
"They look for them, accuse them of being soldiers for the national service and kill them cold-bloodedly. They want to terrorize young people to prevent them from enlisting."
The population of Hassaké are weary and tired. Georgius also stated that he fears a final assault on the city will "cause the definitive exodus of Christians from Hassake."

On whether a Thirty-Year war has just began and whether Obama will be impeached?

Very interesting article and equally interesting Lyndon LaRouche webcast of Jan 25 on the ongoing political situation in the USA and elsewhere. Haven't listened to the whole thing but the first few minutes were enough to tell me this is gonna be interesting.  Political junkies should also access the link and read the entire EIR by Steinberg.  Lyndon LaRouche and his movement are the only voices on the internet who are placing the blame for the present situation in the world squarely on the shoulders of  the United Kingdom of Great Britain

Executive Intelligence Review by Jeffrey Steinberg writing at LaRochePublications:
...The just-concluded mass hostage incident in Algeria is the latest indication that the British-Saudi plan for a new Thirty Years War of religious, tribal, and sectarian permanent conflict is spreading throughout the African continent, the eastern Mediterranean, and the Persian Gulf. The British objective, as frequently spelled out by Royal Consort Prince Philip, is the rapid wiping out of 80% of the human race—either through permanent war/permanent revolution or a thermonuclear war from which mankind might not survive at all.....

Regardless of the merits or liabilities of the French intervention, the Mali conflict, and AQIM's long-planned assault on a British Petroleum-led consortium's natural gas field in Algeria have made clear that all of North Africa is facing a brutal war that will either be decisively stopped, or will lead to a decade or more of perpetual warfare and mass population reduction.

Two years too late, even the New York Times admitted today that "Qaddafi was right," noting,
"As the uprising was closing in around him, the Libyan dictator Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi warned that if he fell, chaos and holy war would overtake North Africa. 'Bin Laden's people would come to impose ransoms by land and sea, he told reporters. We will go back to the time of Redbeard, of pirates, of Ottomans imposing ransoms on boats.' ".........
This week's developments in Africa are solidly in line with British operations to foment a permanent Sunni-versus-Shi'a bloody confrontation within the extended Islamic world. The conflict in Syria, now going into its third year, has been transformed into a vicious sectarian conflict between Sunni jihadists from various countries on the one side, and Shi'ite, Alawite, and Christian minorities in Syria on the other. Saudi Arabia remains the number one source of weapons and funding to the jihadists in their campaign to overthrow the Bashar Assad government in Damascus.

Last week, the Lebanese daily al-Manar, closely tied to Hezbollah, reported that Saudi Arabia's chief of intelligence, Prince Bandar bin-Sultan, was pouring cash and weapons into the al-Nusra Front, an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), to both overthrow Assad and wipe out rival oppositionists from the Free Syrian Army. Al-Nusra is comprised of Syrian, Jordanian, and Iraqi neo-Salafists who fought against the American occupation in Iraq, and who crossed into Syria in early 2011, when the revolt against the Assad government began. Even though the U.S. State Department placed al-Nusra on its list of international terrorist organizations, the vast majority of Syrian rebel groups remain loyal to al-Nusra—for the simple reason that they are the best-armed, best-funded, and most effective fighting force deployed against the Syrian Army......

.....As bad as the prospect of a new Thirty Years War may be, the even greater danger is that the regional conflict now spreading throughout Southwest Asia and Africa will devolve into a superpower confrontation between the United States and Russia/China. This past week, Russia conducted the largest naval manuevers in the eastern Mediterranean since the end of the Cold War. Tom Donilon, President Obama's National Security Advisor, is heading to Moscow in the next hours, with a letter from President Obama to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Whatever the content of Obama's message, it is not likely to satisfy Mr. Putin, who is well aware that the U.S. and NATO ballistic-missile defense shield being installed along the eastern borders of Russia and the southern tier of Russia and China, is not about containing Iran or Syria. It is aimed at the two thermonuclear weapons rivals of Washington—Russia and China.....

........As the situation in North Africa and Southwest Asia moves closer and closer to full-scale regional war, drawing in the United States, Russia, and China, the situation in South Asia is also heating up. In addition to a renewal of Pakistani-Indian conflict along the border in Kashmir, Pakistan has been the scene of a brutal sectarian offensive by fundamentalist Sunnis versus Shi'ites. One incident in Quetta, Baluchistan, in Pakistan, took nearly 100 lives, all Shi'ite worshippers.

In response, President Asif Ali Zardari disbanded the Baluchistan government, dismissing both the regional president and his cabinet, and taking charge of the province, which borders on both Afghanistan and Iran. A Baluchi group, Jundallah, has been engaged for the past two years in a low-intensity insurgency into the bordering region of Iran, carrying out sabotage and assassinations directed against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps............

Quebec, many a time is more sensible than the rest of Canada

What's not to like about their new stance on unmarrieds?

.....Unmarried Quebec couples  who live together and then split up are not entitled to the same rights as legally married couples, when it comes to spousal support, the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled.

By a 5-4 margin, the top court decision released Friday says the province's civil code is constitutional in its treatment of the financial entitlement of couples who are not legally married and who separate.
The decision means Quebec remains the only province that does not recognize "de facto" marriages.
The ruling has broad implications in a province where the 31.5 per cent of couples report being in de facto relationships, versus an average of 12.1 per cent in the rest of Canada.

Justice Louis LeBel, writing for the five-judge majority, said there was no charter violation at play because the current provincial law promotes autonomy.

"The Quebec National Assembly has not favoured one form of union over another," he wrote.
"The legislature has merely defined the legal content of the different forms of conjugal relationships. It has made consent the key to changing the spouses' mutual patrimonial relationship............

Learnt a new phrase today: "Comfortably Poor"

How apt!!   I have always maintained that those sucking on the government teat, are far, far, far, far more comfortable than people like yours truly living off  her saving and a few dollars earned in stock trades. Tell me, why would welfare recipients even bother to look for work when conniving liberal governments are loading them with fat bribes of  substantial  amounts  which many a time means  much more  than if  that recipient had actually had a "pay" cheque for "work" done?   The Left knows exactly  how to keep people dependent on it because that translates into welfare recipients' voting  for them forever.  When did taking welfare  become NOT a shameful thing?

Japan is proving once again that when disaster strikes they can  survive and not just survive but survive at the top of the pile.  Kudos to the thinkers in the Japanese government for making no bones about why welfare payments are being slashed.

From JapanTimes:
Welfare payments to be slashed ¥74 billion to root out the comfortably poor.

Welfare benefits will be slashed by ¥74 billion over a three-year period starting from fiscal 2013, after a government panel found that some people are making more on the dole than the average low-income person who is not spends on living costs, it was learned Sunday.

The decision to lower standard benefit payments by 6.5 percent was made by welfare minister Norihisa Tamura and Finance Minister Taro Aso. The reduction will hit in August.

Since the standard benefit payment provides the basis for determining other levels of public assistance, such as subsidies for school expenses, reducing it may also affect low-income earners even if they are not on welfare.

Tamura said after the meeting that he will implement the measures so the decision does not adversely affect such earners.

The actual amount doled out per household will be slashed by a maximum of 10 percent from the current level, which is based on age, number of family members and area of residence.
Welfare recipients hit a record high of 2.14 million in October 2012 and the state budget for benefits, including medical assistance, stood at around ¥2.8 trillion for fiscal 2012 ending in March....

Colossus ... The Forbin Project

They made good movies way back when.  This is a 1970 movie I watched recently. There's a good lesson within it  for those  who think they are in full control of all they create and all they survey.

Great News .... Our ally Qatar plays whore to the Taliban

How lovely, how beautiful !!   The savages killing our soldiers in Afghanistan are now harbored by our ally.  What a wonderful world !!!!

In other news, rumors of an uprising in Qatar are on the increase.  Glory be .... if true... but I fear nothing much will happen to topple the regime because it is protected by the UK just as Saudi Arabia is protected by the USA.

.....A number of high-ranking Taliban members   have arrived in Doha to continue efforts to open a liaison office for the group, Qatari newspaper Gulf Times reported Sunday.

Afghan officials said they are working on opening the office for insurgent representatives to facilitate the peace process.

"We hope to open an office for the Taliban once the US and Qatar agree on the matter, and we hope to witness direct talks with the group," said Janan Moosazai, ministry of foreign affairs spokesperson.

The High Peace Council said the presence of the group's officials in Qatar indicates the insurgents' inclination to hold talks with the Afghan government.

"The presence of Taliban members in Qatar -- we hope it's their top officials -- shows the group's agreement for opening an office for advancing peace talks with the government of Afghanistan," said Mohammad Ismail Qasemyar, international affairs adviser and member of the High Peace Council.

The Taliban have so far rejected talking to the Afghan government, and there is no date set for the opening of the liaison office.

How the non-existent Agent-15 comes in handy for warmongers every single time

Once again,  I am glad that Obama is reluctant to take drastic action against the Assad regime.  In my books that a mighty PLUS for the democratic president.  The way things are in the Syria of today,  the guys coming up smelling less nasty are those with Assad and if any poisonous gas is used, it will likely be coming from the alluhu akbars Al Qaeda linked gangs armed to the teeth with the most sophisticated weapons supplied by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey which these countries  have procured  from USA, UK and others.

Jeffrey Lewis writing at ForeignPolicy:
....Since the government of Syria's   Bashar al-Assad began to totter, the nonproliferation community has been waiting to see if he will unleash what is believed to be a large stockpile of chemical weapons, including VX, sarin, and mustard gas. The possibility that Assad might use chemical weapons is widely regarded as a possible trigger for U.S. intervention. In December, President Obama warned Assad of "consequences" in the event Syria used its chemical weapons. A few days earlier, Hillary Clinton warned that the United States was "certainly planning to take action" in the event of "credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against their own people."
The implication, obviously, is that the "compelling case" is the "credible evidence" that should prompt Washington to rethink its policy limiting itself to "non-lethal" aid to Syrian opposition forces and take action. A reconsideration might be in order, though not for the reason you think.

For starters, somehow, no one has bothered to mention that Agent 15 doesn't exist.

Yep. Agent 15 is one of the bogus bits of intelligence that helped make the case for invading Iraq. Like many good fish stories, this one has a kernel of truth. A single document found by U.N. inspectors (at the infamous Chicken Farm, if you must know) mentioned something called "Agent 15." UNSCOM and others believed Agent 15 was a glycollate, related to laboratory experiments that Iraq admitted to with chemically similar incapacitants usually referred to as BZ or "buzz." But Iraq never produced BZ, Agent 15, or similar incapacitants.......

Nightclub fire kills more than 245 Brazilians and tourists in Santa Maria

In spite of several such incidents, the authorities don't crack down on these establishments where there are no proper exits and amazingly many such places have just one doorway which serves as both the entry and exit point. In these boxes, hundreds of people pack like sardines watching untalented noise-makers depend on fire shitworks to make up for what they lack in performance.

From CNN:
...A fire swept through a popular nightclub in southern Brazil early Sunday, killing at least 245 people, state media reported, citing police.
The death toll was expected to climb as firefighters continued to pull bodies from the Kiss nightclub in Santa Maria, said Col. Adilomar Silva, the regional coordinator of civil defense.
Most of those killed appeared to have died of smoke inhalation, Silva said. Hundreds are believed to have been injured, though an exact count was not immediately available.
Many people were trampled in the panic to leave the club, one security guard told CNN affiliate Band News......

Helen Collis writing at DailyMailUK
At least 245 people have been killed in a Brazil nightclub after a fire ravaged through the building in the early hours of this morning.
Initial reports were that 90 people perished in the blaze, but the death toll has steadily been rising as more bodies have been found in the packed nightclub.
While the official cause of the blaze has not been stated, local reports claim it was sparked by a firework set off during a band's performance......

Good News for Canada's Oil Sands .... the safest and the most ethical oil on the planet

All the fear and instability about Western oil interests in Muslim lands is great for Canada's oil sands. I am loving it !!

BP Libya is reviewing to see if their drilling operations in that terrorist-ridden country is safe from savage attacks like the kind seen in Algeria.  Do they really need a review to give them the answer?   BP Algeria is also reviewing the continuance of their operations in that country.  Foolish NATO countries have thrown Libya from a frying pan into the fire.  Thou shalt reap what you sow !

I wonder if terrorists are planning attacks on US Aramco in Saudi Arabia too?   Won't surprise me if one morning we wake up to the news that the Saudi oil wells have gone up in smoke.  Will USA then at long last wean themselves off from Saudi oil  and turn to Canada?

Robert Mendick writing at TheTelegraphUK:
The company is to launch a review   into drilling in the country amid serious concerns over security in the region.
BP signed a $900m (£569m) exploration and production agreement with Libya’s National Oil Corporation in 2007 but suspended the contract in February 2011 because of the civil war that eventually led to the overthrow of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
BP subsequently announced a resumption of exploratory drilling – due to begin in September – but has put that on hold following the murder of Westerners working at the Tigantourine facility in the Saharan desert in Algeria. Four BP employees were among 37 foreign hostages who died in the siege.
BP’s problems in the region are compounded by a Foreign Office warning last week of a “specific, imminent threat to Westerners” in the Libyan city of Benghazi. The Foreign Office urged British nationals to leave the city immediately.
A BP spokesman told The Sunday Telegraph: “We were due to drill in the second half of this year but we are now reviewing that as a result of the situations in Algeria and in Benghazi.
“What has happened in Algeria is absolutely tragic.
“We are committed to returning to Algeria and obviously we are heavily involved in Libya as well but it is only natural we review security and take a look at what we are doing.

North Korea's secret prison camps

Not much of a secret anymore.  North Korea has been designated the #1 country for the persecution of Christians  and  these must be the places they are taken to and never heard from again.  With a new young leader at the helm, the world had high hopes for change, but from the recent cocky statements from the young cock, nothing seems to have changed for the better.

Julian Ryall wring at TheTelegraphUK:
Human rights activists are turning to Google Earth   to identify the vast network of prison camps that dot the North Korean countryside and hold as many as 200,000 people deemed hostile to the regime.

Rights groups are pushing the United Nations high commissioner for human rights to open an international investigation into Pyongyang's "deplorable" record on its citizens' rights, including a system of political prisons that has operated for more than 50 years.

Pyongyang insists that the camps do not exist and are merely foreign propaganda, but the advent of high-resolution, free images from outer space has disproved that claim.
On January 18, the North Korean Economy Watch website announced that a new camp had been identified alongside an existing detention facility in Kaechon, South Pyongan Province.
Using newly provided Google Earth images, analyst Curtis Melvin was able to conclude that the new camp sits alongside Camp 14 and has a perimeter fence that stretches nearly 13 miles.
The facility was built since the last images of the site were released, in December 2006.........

Ahh .... the rioting beauty of Egypt ... it speaks to our souls

So beautiful, so glorious the pyramids and also the raving  muzzies.  Where's the nearest travel agent?   Could this be the start of the end of the Muslim Brotherhood?  Wishful thinking ?

From Globe & Mail via Yusri Mohamed and Yasmine Saleh at Reuters:
At least 26 people died on Saturday when Egyptians rampaged in protest at the sentencing of 21 people to death over a soccer stadium disaster, adding to bloody street turmoil confronting Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.

Armoured vehicles and military police fanned through the streets of Port Said after the violence. The state news agency quoted a general as saying the military aimed to “establish calm and stability in Port Said and to protect public institutions.”

Unrest flared with nationwide rallies on Friday to mark the second anniversary of the overthrow of autocrat Hosni Mubarak, a democratic revolution that protesters now accuse Mr. Morsi of betraying by ramming through an Islamist-hued constitution.

While anniversary-related violence subsided, a new outbreak hit Port Said after a court sentenced 21 men to die for involvement in the deaths of 74 people after a local soccer match on Feb. 1, 2012, many of them fans of the visiting team.

Residents ran wildly through the streets of Port Said, outraged that men from their city had been blamed for the stadium disaster, and gunshots were reported near the prison where most of the defendants were being held....

Conservative govt. getting too big for their boots ....

they gotta remember that the bigger one gets, the harder they fall.

Here's  how much  multi-faced the PM has become.... the same man who, a few years ago, said he would get rid of the Senate or  have an "elected to" Senate instead of the "appointed to" one that we have at present,   now keeps appointing many more senators to the body.  From the 6 new senators, only 1 of them  is an elected one.  Politicians... underneath it all, they are all liars to the core....each and every one of them.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper  has appointed five new senators to sit in the Upper Chamber, including one chosen by voters in Alberta.
Harper made the announcement in a press release Friday afternoon.
The new senators are:
Denise Batters, a Regina lawyer and mental-health expert whose late husband, former MP Dave Batters, committed suicide.
Lynn Beyak, a small business owner from Dryden, Ont., with experience in real estate, insurance and tourism.
Doug Black, a Calgary lawyer, as well as vice-chair and senior counsel of the law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.
Victor Oh, a Mississauga, Ont., entrepreneur and president of Wyford Holdings, a property development and management business.
David Wells, a St. John's executive who most recently served as deputy CEO of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board.
Black was selected by voters in Alberta in a Senate consultation process last spring.....

The long kick goodbye

The worst ever premier Dalton McGuinty just can't say goodbye to all us Ontarians he has kicked around during his  time as the premier of this province.

Christina Blizzard writing at SunNews:
.... First there was his emotional farewell on Oct. 15.
Surrounded by colleagues in the government caucus room at Queen’s and with his wife, Terri, at his side, Premier Dalton McGuinty took his leave of politics and disappeared into the night.
Then there was the Our Lady of the Begonias goodbye, wherein reporters hauled their way to a greenhouse on the Holland Marsh to ask questions at what was widely tipped to be his last media availability.

Then, oops. Apparently, he had one more word for the teachers, so he called a hastily arranged news conference the next morning to plead with teachers to keep their anger with the government out of the classroom.
Then he waved goodbye as he departed for one last tour of China — presumably to say goodbye to all our manufacturing jobs as they’re shipped overseas to cheap and dirty labour in that smog-bound country.
Turns out, he was just kidding about saying goodbye.

He returned this week and held another news conference in Cambridge Wednesday, this time with Prime Minister Stephen Harper, to announce a $34 million provincial-federal investment in the Lexus RX450H hybrid SUV — which retails around $50,000.
So reporters sat in gridlock in our non-luxury cars for an hour and a half each way, pondering why any government would want more cars on already congested roads.
Once McGuinty had answered questions there, he hi-tailed it back to Queen’s Park, where he bid the reporters who hadn’t sat in the aforementioned gridlock a fond farewell.

Friday night, there’s an entire festival of farewell at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Harper was left in the awkward position of being the straight guy for a premier who just won’t go.
Still, Harper managed to be gracious, saying the constraints of office often make for odd bedfellows in politics.
“One of the little secrets of politics is that once you’re burdened with the responsibilities of office, what you find is that all people who have those responsibilities share a lot of the same things,” Harper said.
“They share common challenges, they share common opportunities, they share common problems, common limitations,” he said................

I love the Russian way of handling terrorists

No long trials at taxpayers' account.  No lawyers lapping at the terrorists' buttholes and billing the taxpayers.  Kill the terrorist scum the Russian way ... that's the only way to go.  We criticize Putin and Russia because we are jealous of their effective measures.  Their way and the Chinese way is the only way to win against the Islamic madness.  The West's foolishness in handling the Muslims with soft and our kind of democratic measures will only result in  Islamic lunatics killing more  innocents.

Jan 7
Moscow, Jan 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Three suspected militants,  allegedly plotting terrorist attacks during the Russian Orthodox Christmas, have been killed in Russia's volatile southwestern region of Kabardino-Balkaria, police said Monday.
Police said law enforcers stopped a cargo vehicle for inspection of documents during a special operation Sunday, but people inside the car opened fire on them.
"Three militants were killed in return fire. According to our information, the militants were preparing to stage terrorist attacks in churches of Kabardino-Balkaria and the Stavropol territory during Christmas divine services," a police statement said.

Jan 17
MOSCOW, January 17 (RIA Novosti) - Two people, killed  in a special operation in Russia’s North Caucasus on Wednesday, were militants who prepared a series of attacks in the area, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAK) said.
“According to our data, members of the eliminated armed group were involved in attacks on law-enforcers and extortion of money from the republic’s businessmen. They also plotted attacks on law-enforcers and officials in January and February,” the NAK statement reads. “Therefore, a series of militant attacks on the republic’s territory was prevented by prompt actions of the FSB and the Interior Ministry.”
A special anti-terrorism operation was declared in the city of Tyrnyauz in Kabardino-Balkaria after a group of three suspected militants was blocked in a five-storey building. A two-year-old girl and a woman, believed to be an accomplice of the gunmen, were in the apartment where the gunmen took refuge.
In the course of negotiations, the child was allowed to leave the apartment, but the woman refused to leave. The apartment was stormed when the gunmen fired shots at law-enforcers. Two suspected militants, aged 20 and 22, and the 25-year-old woman, were killed in the shootout......

Jan 25
Russian security forces killed three  suspected militants on Friday in a shootout in the North Caucasus, where the government is fighting an Islamist insurgency, authorities said on Friday.
Security forces stormed a house where suspected militants were hiding out in the town of Chegem, near the regional capital Nalchik, after the gunmen refused to surrender.
"Despite efforts to persuade the rebels to stop putting up resistance, they refused and opened intensive fire on security forces," the National Anti-Terrorism Committee said in statement. "The decision was taken to storm."

NOBODY can take our Mayor from us !!!

NOBODY !!!!   Conniving, disgusting, despicable haters and troublemakers  can go try their tricks elsewhere.  Their tricks  probably worked when this city was not as filled with street-smart new immigrants as at the present time.  We see through tricks and know how to deflect them.

If the decision had gone any other way, take it for granted that there would have been protest marches every day until Mayor Rob Ford was reinstated.

Injustice Charles Hackland should resign.  Like so many other judges in Canada, the man has gone senile and should do the right thing by resigning from his post or he should be declared incompetent and removed from it.  Torontonians knew from DAY ONE, the day Rob Ford declared he was in the running for the mayoral position, that he had powerful enemies on the Left and even new immigrants to the city could see that the case was all about  Ford's political enemies trying to remove him, but Injustice Charles Hackland was not able to see the real motive behind  Ford's enemies.  For that reason, and God alone knows how many other injustices done via his rulings,  Hackland must be thrown out of office.

From SunNews:
FORD WINS APPEAL TO KEEP HIS JOB AS TORONTO’S MAYOR. TORONTO    Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has managed to hold onto his job.
Ford won an appeal Friday of the judicial decision tossing him out of office.
The three-judge panel threw out the ruling from Justice Charles Hackland ordering Ford out of the mayor's chair for violating the municipal conflict of interest act.
With the decision, Ford now no longer has to worry about losing his job as the mayor of Canada's largest city due to this particular court action. It also ends weeks of speculation about how council would replace Ford - councillors would have been tasked with either appointing a replacement or plunging the city into a mayoral byelection.......

The multi-faced Conservative govt of Canada

And every one of those faces lie.   Canada enters into yet another conflict and  the possibility of us remaining in Africa for the next several months or even years or maybe even decades,  is very real.   See how easily the mission changed from "one week of one transport plane" to one month and already there are rumors  that military personnel, the RCMP and CSIS are either already there or being readied to depart for Mali in the next few days.  Rumors don't just get started out of nowhere.  Where there's smoke, there's fire.

From CBC:
Canada's air transport mission to support French and African military efforts in Mali has been extended to Feb. 15, a statement released by the Harper government this afternoon says.

At last week's announcement that one C-17 Globemaster transport plane would help with moving troops and equipment, Prime Minister Stephen Harper emphasized that the deployment was only for one week and the government would review its commitment after a few days.

By Thursday, however, the plane had been flying missions in and out of Mali's capital, Bamako, for one week, so a decision was expected imminently on what would come next. Forty Canadian Forces personnel are currently involved in the daily shuttle runs originating at military bases in France.

French and Malian ambassadors in Ottawa said last Thursday that France had requested an extension and suggested it would likely be granted......................

If Saudi Arabia's youth were to start a revolution, will the USA and UK come to their aid?

What do you think?  The warmongers are always going about how we must help to bring democracy wherever the people cry for it by going to wars to bring it about ....but would  they help the Saudi youth if and when the time comes?  Did the USA or UK or any of those two-faced NATO nations come to the aid of the Iranian students protesting amass to topple the islamic  regime there ?

The USA will not want to jeopardize their oil interests and the interests of  the hundreds of  US security companies getting big bucks from their masters there and that's that.  Even a whisper of a  revolt will be quashed by the USA security thugs and the public relations firms (again USA based) would white-out any  news of such uprisings.  Hypocritical USA,  hypocritical Judeo-Christian members of  NATO !!

From TheEconomist:
Like much that moves in Twitter-mad Saudi Arabia these days,   it started with a single message. A lady in Dammam, the hub of the oil industry on the kingdom’s Gulf coast, tweeted a complaint from a local shopping mall. Agents of the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (CPVPV), she said, were causing an unpleasant scene. The government-salaried vigilantes, a bearded auxiliary police force familiarly known to Saudis as the Hayaa, had marched officiously into an educational exhibit featuring plaster models of dinosaurs, turned off the lights and ordered everyone out, frightening children and alarming their parents.

It was unclear precisely why the religious police objected to the exhibit, which apparently had been innocently featured at shopping centres across the Gulf for decades. Malls are one of the few public spaces where Saudis mix socially, and so often draw the Hayaa’s attentions. Gone, however, are the days when its agents can go about their business unchallenged.

Within minutes of the incident, a freshly minted Arabic Twitter hashtag, #Dammam-Hayaa-Closes-Dinosaur-Show, was generating scores of theories about their motives. Perhaps, suggested one, there was a danger that citizens might start worshipping dinosaur statues instead of God. Maybe it was just a temporary measure, said another, until the Hayaa can separate male and female dinosaurs and put them in separate rooms. Surely, declared a third, one of the lady dinosaurs had been caught in public without a male guardian. A fourth announced an all-points police alert for Barney the Dinosaur, while another suggested it was too early to judge until it was clear what the dinosaurs were wearing.

Several contributors injected bawdy innuendo into their comments. Noting that one of the displays showed a dinosaur riding on the back of another, one message declared that this was obviously sexually suggestive and possibly could be categorised as a Westernising influence. "I confess," declared one penitent, "I saw a naked dinosaur thigh and felt aroused." Another tweet provided this helpful tip to the suspicious CPVPV: "No, no, that long thing is a tail!"

But most of the messages singled out the religious police for ridicule. "They worried that people would find the dinosaurs more highly evolved than themselves," explained one. "It’s the Hayaa that should be stuffed and mounted so future generations can learn about extinct animals," quipped another. This message adopted a more pedantic tone: "Dinosaurs are a paleontological life form from an ancient geological era, and our clerics are a paleontological life form from an ancient social era." "Hello? Stone Age? We have some of your people; can you please come and collect them?" pleaded one tweep. Another wrote: "If the dinosaurs were still alive they’d be saying, thank God for extinction."....

Terrorists, either imported or funded by the Judeo-Christian nations, wreak havoc everywhere

The facts speak for themselves.  Take the time to read the very interesting article and watch the documentary.

David Barrett writing at TheTelegraphUK:
.....Both were arrested in 2006  as they were heading to Syria. The pair claimed they were going there to study Arabic but MI5 believed they were intending to take part in extremist activities, or travel on to Iraq to fight Western forces there.
The Adam brothers were placed under control orders - a strict version of house arrest - because MI5 asserted there were “reasonable grounds to suspect that they were intending to engage in terrorism-related activities”.
Then in, May 2007, they absconded.
Scotland Yard warned the public not to approach the brothers and mounted a full scale operation to track them down - to no avail.
Ibrahim was killed in US drone strikes against suspected militants in Pakistan’s tribal belt in 2011.
Six-foot tall Lamine was described as “dangerous” when he went on the run by John Reid, the then home secretary. Now aged 32, his current whereabouts are unknown. The extent or nature of his danger was never made public.
Shortly before they absconded a third brother, who changed his name from Rahman to Anthony Garcia while pursuing an abortive career as a male model, was jailed for life after being found guilty at the Old Bailey of playing a key role in a 2003 plot to blow up Bluewater shopping centre in Kent or the Ministry of Sound nightclub in London......

Latest interview with Mother Agnès-Mariam on the Syrian situation

I haven't listened to the entire video but whatever  the nun talks about here I will take for the truth and nothing but the truth.

LPAC-TV conducted an interview with Mother Agnès-Mariam  of the Monastery of St. James the Mutilated in Syria on Jan. 9, which is now on the LPAC website. www.larouchepac.com/node/25144 Mother Agnès- Mariam has recently been on an international tour to bring to the attention of the world that what is taking place in Syria is not what is being reported in the mainstream press.
In the LPAC-TV interview, Mother Agnès-Mariam discussed her observation early on, of the split toward sectarianism highlighting a trip she made to Homs during the spring of 2011. The trip, made with a group of European reporters, revealed that the demonstrations were not peaceful but composed of "unknown or unidentified armed gangs shooting and aggressing both the security forces and the demonstrators."

She described this element as a fifth column in the Syrian conflict using the example of the war in her home country, Lebanon, which started in 1975 and is still putting pressure on the region.

" So we know you can engineer a war, you put the elements that will encourage a sectarian conflict that will encourage a civil war etc. ... I have to tell you really, honestly we are seeing until today, the fabrication, the manufacturing in Syria of an artificial war that is rooted on a real struggle, but [if] it would have been left alone, it would never ever give birth to such horrors. That's why I say that the Syrian people are abducted by unnamed powers ... to deprive them of any stability of any peace, under the title of a legitimate revolution."

In regard to those entering the conflict from abroad, she says, "they are Al Qaeda members, they are Jabhat al-Nusra members, they are Salafists and Wahhabists it means extremists. They come and they say ... we are not fighting for freedom or for democracy, we are fighting for Islam, but their Islam is not the moderate Islam of our sister[s] and brother[s], we [have lived] with them in the Orient since the 13th century. We are victims of an instrumentalization of religion, and those people they are achieving an agenda which is unknown, but in reality this agenda [is] neither about the security of the civilian population, neither about human rights, neither about children neither about women, it is something very, very dark and ominous."........

What has Iran done with Pastor Benham Irani ?

The last we heard, the man needed immediate medical attention and that was in July 2012.   The internet does not have any more news on the pastor after that date.

Anugrah Kumar writing at ChristianPost:
....An Iranian pastor serving a six-year term  in prison for his faith is being denied hospital treatment for severe bleeding due to stomach ulcers, a Christian rights group has said, warning he might otherwise succumb to the illness within weeks or months.

Benham Irani, pastor of the Church of Iran in the city of Karaj in Alborz Province and currently in Ghezal Hesar prison, is suffering from severe bleeding due to stomach ulcers and complications with his colon which caused him to lose consciousness temporarily last week, the U.K.-based Christian Solidarity Worldwide said in a statement.

The rights group added that sources close to Pastor Irani fear that he may have months or weeks to live.

The 41-year-old pastor, who was sentenced to six years imprisonment under the charges of "action against the state" and "action against the order," has also received death threats from fellow prisoners and sustained regular beatings from his cell mates and prison authorities........

....Present Truth Ministries last week reported that Irani was briefly taken to a hospital where he was diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer. But he needs hospitalization, as his health is constantly failing. He is losing his eyesight, has difficulty in walking, and now has a bleeding ulcer.

The pastor, father of two, accepted Christ in 1992, and became a pastor in 2002.....

NATO destroyed Serbian Christians so they can watch with glee the persecution of the remaining Christians

If historians are true to their trade and calling, they will surely tell how the majority-Christian nations of the world helped to rid the Christian minority in the Muslim lands and at the same time imported millions of Muslims into the Christian lands in order to turn the entire world into a shariah hell.

The first vid below was posted about a year ago and shows how Muslims in Kosovo are destroying a Serbian church.  What you can't hear in this video are the loud cheers from the Muslims watching ... I saw that in another vid of the same incident.   The second vid is a MUST LISTEN .... so much fun to listen to Michael Savage castrating a Muslim sympathizer.... I could listen to that for hours with a big grin on my face going from one end  to the other.

We in the West and the world at large, were told at the time NATO decided to bomb the Christian strongholds there,  how there were atrocities committed on the poor, sweet, huggable, angelic muzzies.

From BOSNEWS  dated January 22, 2013:
Serbian Orthodox Christians in Kosovo struggle with a “sharp rise” in threats and vandalism against their churches and other religious sites, human rights investigators told BosNewsLife Tuesday, January 22.
Since this month’s Orthodox Christmas assailants attacked a monastery, set on fire a chapel and wooden crosses, and destroyed over 100 Orthodox tombstones, reported Belgrade-based Balkan rights group Centar 9.

The clashes are linked to anger within Kosovo’s mainly Muslim Albanian population about the removal of a memorial to fallen fighters in neighboring Serbia.
Thousands of ethnic Albanians protested after some 200 masked Serbian police officers backed by armored personnel carriers removed the monument Sunday, January 20, in the town of Presevo.
It bore the names of 27 ethnic Albanian fighters killed during the 2000 conflict in the Presevo Valley, a spillover from the 1999 war in Kosovo, Serbia’s former province.
Local media reported that the 'Albanian National Army' group asked supporters on social website Facebook to retaliate by "hitting the Serbs where it hurts them the most," an apparent reference to churches and other religious sites.
Soon after, dozens of men were seen marching to the Serbian monastery
'Assumption of the Holy Mother of God' in Kosovo, which was recently rebuild after being demolished in a 2004 demonstration.

Kosovo police, backed by international police and peacekeepers, dispersed the crowd after they threw stones and firecrackers in last Sunday's unrest, witnesses said.
Elsewhere, a small chapel was set on fire at an Orthodox graveyard in the ethnically mixed village of Milosevo, while in Priluzje village unknown attackers burned several wooden crosses and exploded a large tombstone, Centar 9 told BosNewsLife.
The January 20-21 unrest also saw the destruction of dozens of Orthodox tombstones, including 27 in Klokot village, Centar 9 said.

Coming to Thorncliffe Park, Toronto, in the very near future

The events taking place in  London, UK are just a tiny preview of  what's coming to Canada in the very near future....all thanks to the foolhardiness of our bullheaded politicians.  As   I am  from Toronto and having visited all corners of Toronto,  I can speak only for what I have seen in this city....and what I have seen in the Thorncliffe area, makes me somewhat of an authority on where I expect the first vigilante attacks against gays and infidels to take place. Thorncliffe Park and area  is now almost 70% Muslim ... if you don't believe me, go hang around there for an hour or two and tell me different.

From TheTelegraphUK:
....The footage, from a group calling themselves Muslim Patrol, shows the gang abusing the unnamed man who was walking by himself in Whitechapel, East London.
Today Scotland Yard said they were investigating the video, which was posted on YouTube. Muslim leaders also condemned the thugs' behaviour.
It comes after the gang uploaded another video called "The Truth About Saturday Night", in which white women were called "naked animals with no self-respect".
In the latest video, hooded thugs shout at the terrified man, who appears to be wearing make-up, before one tells him: "Mate, don't you know this is a Muslim area. What's wrong with your face?"
Another then shouts: "This is a Muslim area get out of here. Get out here you b----- f--. You can't stay round here anymore.".....

Muslim countries, stupid grannies, death sentences and 2.5 M worth of cocaine

British women, IMO, are either the most naive or they have some special kind of  uncontrollable hots for Muslim men that makes them take holidays in those hellholes hoping they will get to shag  an allahu akbar or two.  Furthermore,  these dimwits think that "shariah" is just a word in the arabic lingo and that the legal system in Muslim countries is just like the "slap on the wrist" kind of justice meted out to wrongdoers  in the West.

Firdia Lisnawati at AP via NationalPost:
An Indonesian court sentenced a British grandmother to death on Tuesday for smuggling cocaine worth $2.5 million in her suitcase onto the resort island of Bali — even though prosecutors had sought only a 15-year sentence.

Lindsay June Sandiford, 56, wept when judges handed down the sentence and declined to speak to reporters on her way back to prison, covering her face with a floral scarf. She had claimed in court that she was forced to take the drugs into the country by a gang that was threatening to hurt her children.

Indonesia, like many Asian countries, is very strict on drug crimes, and most of the more than 40 foreigners on its death row were convicted of drug charges.
Sandiford’s lawyer said she would appeal, a process that can take several years. Condemned criminals face a firing squad in Indonesia, which has not carried out an execution since 2008, when 10 people were put to death.

A verdict is expected in the trial of Sandiford’s alleged accomplice, Briton Julian Anthony Pounder, next Tuesday. He is accused of receiving the drugs in Bali, which has a busy bar and nightclub scene where party drugs such as cocaine and Ecstasy are bought and sold between foreigners. Two other British citizens and an Indian have already been convicted and sentenced to prison in connection with the bust.
In London, British Foreign Office Minister Hugo Swire told lawmakers Wednesday that the government strongly opposes Sandiford’s sentence.
“We strongly object to the death penalty and continue to provide consular assistance to Lindsay and her family during this difficult time,” he said....

Different perception on the Middle East from those in the know

Recently, I got together with a couple of Syrian friends in Toronto and something they said, because of a preconceived perception I have of the ongoing conflicts in that part of the world,  flew right over my head (until today).  My Syrian friends didn't blame America for the trouble in the ME,  not in the least ..... they blamed the United Kingdom !!  Not even France .... just the United Kingdom, its Labor party  and Cameron's Conservatives.

According to them,  Britain wants control over all of what was once theirs and Britain wants to be in a strong position to place several army posts (replacing any of the US ones) and to further strengthen that argument they told me that it's the  British influence which is strong in the ME not the USA's  and I only have to see the number of  UK citizens and  business entities in the ME compared to any other country to realize that.  The UK,  they said,  has made heavy inroads in cementing their influence in Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE in the last two decades.  The UK prefers Qatar to hold sway over the other Arab nations, they said.  Bahrain is  still under Saudi Arabia's control politically and the Brit expatriates from Bahrain are moving to Qatar and the UAE.   Saudi Arabia missed the UK boat because the cavemen there are not very open to the UK influence and are more dependent on the USA.

Today, I read about the UK Parliamentary Inquiry that's just got started and the stuff my Syrian friends said at Christmastime when I met with them, seems more believable and it  enforces my belief that we should listen to all opinions and not dismiss them entirely ... no matter how bizarre they might sound when first we hear them.  Does the  United Kingdom have  their  paws in that dirty jar of  "divide and rule" strategy?   Yes, very much possible !

The first hearing session of the UK Parliament Foreign Affairs    Committee Inquiry into British policy with Saudi Arabia took place today with evidence from two former ambassadors to Bahrain. Robin Lamb, Ambassador 2003-2006 and Sir Roger Tomkys, Ambassador 1981-1984, gave evidence along side Jane Kinninmont from Chatham House and Dr. Neil Patrick from the Royal United Services Institute.....

....In their opening remarks both highlighted the complexities of British policy in the Gulf in balancing interests, moral values and security concerns. Ms Kinninmont argued it is a difficult time for UK diplomats, but also a time of “heightened sensitivities amongst Gulf rulers”, citing the examples of many who have been imprisoned for criticizing monarchs.

She said that Britain is not doing itself any favours if it pretends that all is fine in the Gulf and there are no pressures from below for change. Ms. Kinninmont mentioned the recent speech of the Crown Prince at the Manama Dialogue in which he chose to thank Britain over the US that UK is indeed Bahrain’s closest ally. She said that Britain was prepared to be critical of Bahrain during the first days of the crackdown in February and March 2011, but has since maintained the same level of strong relations, describing this as “puzzling” since the crackdown has continued since then......

....Ms. Kinninmont said that Bahrain has responded in two ways to criticism from the UK, neither of which could be said to be positive. The first was to make threats about cancelling defence cooperation with Britain and the other has been to promise reforms. With this she mentioned the BICI as a positive step, although now Britain is finding itself “in a dilemma as the story of reform is wearing thin.” Ms. Kinninmont was suggesting that whilst Bahrain has promised to deliver on reforms, little has been done, leaving UK in a difficult position with regards to this.....

.....A strong theme of the questions from the MP’s was to what extent the UK can actually have leverage over Bahrain to reform. Dr. Patrick was keen to stress that the strength UK has over Bahrain should not be “overestimated” arguing that there are “limits to what we can do”.

Although Dr. Patrick downplayed the ability UK has to influence events he also noted that the opposition are looking to the UK for support and therefore the UK should “do more of the same” in as much as it engages with all sides......

"Privacy" the word doomed for erasure from the lexicon

Our brave new world engrossing into private lives...or how powerful companies will be able to monitor us and hold entire governments to ransom.  It will happen .... and Google will be at the forefront of the blackmail.  They have already started by pulling down blogs they don't like and even if at the present time those bloggers have an avenue they can take and host their sites elsewhere ... what if Google decides to buy all those companies in one fell swoop and silence them from those avenues too?  Google is getting to be too powerful and that is why I am with China for  giving Google  only limited access to that country.  Good thinking.

.....Look more closely though, and you will see Brin may be learning even more. His glasses are no ordinary over-sized ski goggles but a prototype of the latest gadget that could allow mobile data-downloading with voice commands: Google Glasses.

Not to be confused with Google Goggles, an app for its Android operating system, Google Glasses have been developed in secret by technologists at the Californian search giant.

Capable of giving an “augmented reality” to viewers – or telling them lots of stuff about who and what they are seeing, they could transform our computer habits beyond even the astonishing advances of recent years.

Thy first received an outing last year when 39-year-old Brin, who is in charge of developing Google X projects – wore them at an event for the blind in San Francisco, in April.

A few more glimpses of them were seen last summer, setting tongues wagging in tech circles, where there was intense excitement about their potential for increasing interaction with the web on the go.......
