The tit-for-tat between Russia and Ukraine continues


Wonder how long the two countries intend to go on with this and whether the situation will escalate and pull the rest of the world into a world war. It would be wise if all other countries took a chill pill and let these two estranged nations deal with their own grievances.  Don't let warmongers play you like a fiddle into sending thousands more young people to either die or come back crippled either in body or mind or both from yet more stupid wars in far away lands.

....Russia Arrests 25 Ukrainians for Sabotage.  
Russia's main security agency said Thursday that it has arrested 25 Ukrainian citizens on suspicion of planning sabotage in Russia.
The Federal Security Service, the main KGB successor agency, said in a statement carried by the state RIA Novosti news agency that the suspects were planning to conduct sabotage and terror attacks in seven regions across Russia last month. It didn't say when they were arrested or give any further details.....

Ukraine arrested three members of its special riot police, Berkut, and detained 12 more, on suspicion of mass murder during the anti-government protests witnessed in the capital city of Kiev between Feb. 18 and Feb. 20, news reports said.
A top security official reportedly said that the interim Ukrainian government had also procured evidence that showed Russian security services assisted their counterparts in Ukraine to crush the anti-government protests, according to Associated Press, or AP, adding that there were indications that snipers, who were reportedly responsible for more than 100 deaths during the Kiev protests, were ordered into action by former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, a charge that he has denied.....

....Westinghouse on brink of long-term  nuclear fuel deal with Ukraine.
The American Westinghouse Electric Co. is on the brink of inking a deal with Ukraine that would not only extend its contract to supply the country’s nuclear reactors with fuel, but increase the number of reactors to which it supplies fuel as well as the frequency of fuel deliveries here through 2020, according to a company official involved in negotiations.
Michael Kirst, Westinghouse vice president of customer relations and sales in the region, told the Kyiv Post on April 4 that the deal between the company and Ukrainian energy operator Energoatom is in its final stages.....

Russia's top natural gas producer, Gazprom, will eventually lose more than it gains from raising the gas price for Ukraine by 80 percent, analysts said on Friday, predicting Kiev would cut purchases and fail to pay in full......
