Ebola updates ....... September 24

Shame on me for thinking that I find the Ebola outbreak very suspicious.... but I can't help wondering if probably some scientist(s), working independently or on behalf of their government(s), were using black people as guinea pigs without their knowledge and things got out of hand.

From Slate:
Ebola Could Be Contained—or Become  “Permanent Feature of Life” in Africa, WHO Says
A new World Health Organization report published in the New England Journal of Medicine says that, if proper control measures are taken, the Ebola outbreak in West Africa can be contained and its spread to new victims halted. But WHO director Christopher Dye says this result is not guaranteed. From Reuters:
... if control efforts are only partly successful, Ebola viral disease in the human population could become "a permanent feature of life in West Africa", Dye said. "The alternative possibility that we're talking about is that the epidemic simply rumbles on as it has for the last few months for the next few years, on the order of years, rather than months."Under those circumstances, the fear is that Ebola will be more or less a permanent feature of the human population. Of course it could be extinguished later on."
From DemocracyNow:
CDC: Worst-Case Scenario Sees 1.4 Million Ebola Cases by January.  A new warning says the Ebola outbreak in West Africa could reach as many as 21,000 people by the end of the month. A worst-case scenario from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the epidemic could hit up to 1.4 million people by January 20. A best-case scenario predicts the epidemic almost wiped out by January, if drastic action is taken today. The CDC says there is likely around 2.5 times as many cases today as are being reported.
