Timing & other aspects of US strike on Syrian army suggest intentional provocation – Churkin

The US’ sudden attempt to “help” the Syrian army fighting ISIS in the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor, which resulted in a strike that killed and injured dozens of soldiers, does not look like an honest mistake, Russia’s UN envoy told journalists at the UNSC meeting.

“It is highly suspicious that the United States chose to conduct this particular air strike at this time,” Russia’s ambassador Vitaly Churkin said.

Churkin questioned why the US suddenly chose to “help” the Syrian army defend Deir ez-Zor after all these years, recalling how American forces just observed terrorists’ movements and did “nothing when ISIS advanced on Palmyra.”

“It was quite significant and not accidental that it happened just two days before the Russian-American arrangements were supposed to come into full force,” Churkin added.

Israeli Lawmaker Slams Defense Minister for Supporting al-Nusra Front Terrorists

Akram Hasson, a member of the Israeli parliament, criticized on Monday the country's Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman for what he described as support for Jabhat Fatah al Sham (previously known as al-Nusra Front, outlawed in Russia) terrorist group in Syria in clashes on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights.
On Saturday, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) shelled the positions of Syrian artillery in the Golan Heights in response to a projectile allegedly fired by the Syrian army against the insurgents.
This new strategy led by Lieberman since he took office has strengthened the Nusra Front and it’s raising its head to attack our brothers," Hasson said, as quoted by the Haaretz newspaper.

According to Hasson, strikes launched by the IAF against Damascus positions benefited the terror group that advanced near the village of Khadr, inhabited by the Druze ethnic and religious minority. "The Nusra Front is operating with unprecedented support from Israel, because the organization’s fighters are advancing in those places where the Israel Defense Forces had previously bombed Syrian positions and the organization is holding those positions, in addition to the logistical and medical assistance it’s getting from Israel," Hasson added, citing local authorities of the village.....

US troops 'forced to flee Syrian town' after FSA rebel threats

Video shows Free Syrian Army fighters threatening to 'slaughter' US special forces after they moved into al-Rai with Turkish troops....
...US special forces soldiers were reportedly forced to flee a town in northern Syria after Free Syrian Army fighters threatened to "slaughter" them for their "invasion", according to videos and reports posted on social media on Friday.
The US soldiers were working with Turkish forces as they advanced on al-Rai, Aleppo, in preparation for an offensive against nearby al-Bab, which is controlled by the Islamic State group.

The FSA is allied with Turkish forces and ostensibly supported by the US as a "moderate" rebel group fighting against the government of Bashar al-Assad.

However, Friday's confrontation highlights the complex nature of the war in Syria.

In the video, fighters from the FSA chant that US forces are "pigs", "crusaders" and "infidels".

"Dogs, agents of America," one man can be heard to say in Arabic, while others chant "They are crusaders and infidels", "Down with America", "'Get out you pigs" and "They are coming to Syria to occupy it".

A voice on a megaphone can be heard to say there will be a "slaughter". The US forces were reportedly forced to leave the town after the protests....

U.K. Parliament report details how NATO’s 2011 war in Libya was based on lies

British investigation: Gaddafi was not going to massacre civilians; Western bombing made Islamist extremism worse
A new report by the British Parliament shows that the 2011 NATO war in Libya was based on an array of lies.

“Libya: Examination of intervention and collapse and the UK’s future policy options,” an investigation by the House of Commons’ bipartisan Foreign Affairs Committee, strongly condemns the U.K.’s role in the war, which toppled the government of Libya’s leader Muammar Qaddafi and plunged the North African country into chaos.

“We have seen no evidence that the UK Government carried out a proper analysis of the nature of the rebellion in Libya,” the report states. “UK strategy was founded on erroneous assumptions and an incomplete understanding of the evidence.”

The Foreign Affairs Committee concludes that the British government “failed to identify that the threat to civilians was overstated and that the rebels included a significant Islamist element.”

The Libya inquiry, which was launched in July 2015, is based on more than a year of research and interviews with politicians, academics, journalists and more. The report, which was released on Sept. 14, reveals the following:

Qaddafi was not planning to massacre civilians. This myth was exaggerated by rebels and Western governments, which based their intervention on little intelligence.
The threat of Islamist extremists, which had a large influence in the uprising, was ignored — and the NATO bombing made this threat even worse, giving ISIS a base in North Africa.
France, which initiated the military intervention, was motivated by economic and political interests, not humanitarian ones.
The uprising — which was violent, not peaceful — would likely not have been successful were it not for foreign military intervention and aid. Foreign media outlets, particularly Qatar’s Al Jazeera and Saudi Arabia’s Al Arabiya, also spread unsubstantiated rumors about Qaddafi and the Libyan government.
The NATO bombing plunged Libya into a humanitarian disaster, killing thousands of people and displacing hundreds of thousands more, transforming Libya from the African country with the highest standard of living into a war-torn failed state........

The emails, released by the hacking group DCLeaks,
show Powell discussing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s controversial speech before a joint meeting of Congress with his business partner, Jeffrey Leeds.

Leeds summarizes Netanyahu as having “said all the right things about the president and all the things he has done to help Israel. But basically [he] said this deal sucks, and the implication is that you have to be an idiot not to see it.”

Powell responded that U.S. negotiators can’t get everything they want from a deal. But echoing a point that many Iran hawks have questioned, Powell said that Israel’s nuclear arsenal and rational self-interest make the construction and testing of an Iranian nuclear weapon a highly unlikely policy choice for Iran’s leaders.

Powell wrote:
Negotiators can’t get what he wants. Anyway, Iranians can’t use one if they finally make one. The boys in Tehran know Israel has 200, all targeted on Tehran, and we have thousands. As Akmdinijad (sic) [said], “What would we do with one, polish it?” I have spoken publicly about both nK and Iran. We’ll blow up the only thing they care about—regime survival. Where, how would they even test one?

Israel, which isn’t a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, has long maintained ambiguity about the size, and even the existence, of its nuclear weapons program.

Later in the email chain, Powell acknowledged Iran’s right to enrich uranium for nuclear power, said that sanctions alone wouldn’t be enough to “break” Iran, and pointed out that the assessment that Iran could make a dash for the bomb and construct a nuclear weapon within a year was exaggerated.....

Nuclear Hypocrisy- Exposing Shoddy Monopoly Media Analysis And Disinformation

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) conducted another nuclear test on Friday, 9 September.

President Barack Obama stated:

To be clear, the United States does not, and never will, accept North Korea as a nuclear state... Today's nuclear test, a flagrant violation of multiple UN Security Council Resolutions, makes clear North Korea's disregard for international norms and standards for behavior and demonstrates it has no interest in being a responsible member of the international community.

With Obama's statement in mind, consider the answer to these relevant questions:

Has the DPRK attacked another country? Can the same be said about the Republic of Korea (ROK)?
Does every member of the United Nations not have the right to self defense under article 51 of the United Nations Charter?
Does the US refrain from attacking other countries?
Did the aggressions launched against Iraq, Libya, and Syria show a regard for international norms and standards?
Has the US genuinely demonstrated an interested in being a responsible member of the international community?
Has the US adhered to article VI of the NPT – a binding commitment for disarmament by the nuclear-weapon states?
Would Iraq, Libya, and Syria have been attacked if they had been nuclear-weapon states?....

...Arab leaders echoed the warnings of U.S. Secretary of State Marshall and Secretary of Defense Forrestal. "In a speech at the General Assembly Hall at Flushing Meadow, New York, on Friday, 28 November 1947, Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Fadel Jamall, included the following statement: "Partition imposed against the will of the majority of the people will jeopardize peace and harmony in the Middle East. Not only the uprising of the Arabs of Palestine is to be expected, but the masses in the Arab world cannot be restrained. The Arab-Jewish relationship in the Arab world will greatly deteriorate. There are more Jews in the Arab world outside of Palestine than there are in Palestine. In Iraq alone, we have about one hundred and fifty thousand Jews who share with Moslems and Christians all the advantages of political and economic rights. Harmony prevails among Moslems, Christians and Jews. But any injustice imposed upon the Arabs of Palestine will disturb the harmony among Jews and non-Jews in Iraq; it will breed inter-religious prejudice and hatred."

Britain didn't vote for the religious partition because it directly contradicted their promise of a non-sectarian democracy for the people of Palestine. But they didn't vote against it either. They abstained. They didn't want to oppose the powerful backers of the religious partition.......

... How could anyone think that importing armed, staunch segregationist Jewish supremacists into Palestine, and having them at gunpoint drive out massive numbers of unarmed Muslims, BECAUSE THEY'RE MUSLIMS rather than Jews, while being surrounded by a sea of Muslims, would create a safe haven for Jews? It would be more rational to expect exactly the conflict predicted by the majority of Jews in Western Europe and America, who initially opposed the establishment of Israel partly for exactly that reason. They were correct in those predictions, and that predicted conflict has existed continuously ever since.

Bankers are well-known for their rationality, especially about money. And wars have been very profitable for bankers over hundreds of years. They discovered they could make money from both sides of a war. War is also highly profitable for corporations in which the bankers own interests. By one rough estimate, more is consumed in a day of war than a year of peace. All the expensive ammunition and weapon stockpiles need to be replenished. And all the destroyed infrastructure needs to be rebuilt....

How US Hardliners Help Iran’s Hardliners

The unrelenting urge among American politicians to keep punishing Iran — or more precisely, to be seen supporting steps with that objective — continues to work against sensible statecraft and U.S. interests in multiple respects. One of those respects concerns how measures taken by the United States affect political competition within Iran.

Here’s the current background to questions of U.S. policy toward Iran. The most important development in recent years regarding such policy — the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the formal name for the agreement that limits Iran’s nuclear activity — has been in effect for over a year. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which does the detailed monitoring of the Iranian program, Iran is fully in compliance with its obligations under the agreement.

Those in the United States who have opposed any agreement with Iran all along continue to seek any possible basis for accusing Iran of violations. One of the most recent such accusations concerned some issues of implementation that opponents described as “secret exceptions” granted to Iran. They were in fact not that but rather were typical of the detailed questions that inevitably arise in implementation of any agreement this extensive.....

Here’s Why The Polls Don’t Show Gary Johnson Averaging 15% Nationally Yet

As the saying goes; there’s lies, damn lies, and statistics. That should really be amended to include polling along with statistics. The way that pollsters determine samples and structure their questions has more of an effect on a poll’s results than almost any other factor. A perfect example of which is the current polling of the Presidential race now that Gary Johnson is being included in the polls. In particular, two recent polls from CNN and FOX News stand out as particularly dishonest. It’s no surprise that these two polls have shown Gary Johnson polling lower than the fifteen percent threshold required for admission into the Presidential debates.

In fact, it’s likely that the changes to these two polls were designed to keep Gary Johnson below that threshold. For example, the Governor is currently polling highest with millennials – those aged 18 – 34. In most polls Johnson shows up in the high twenties and low thirties. In certain polls he has come in second place and within striking distance of Hillary Clinton. .........

The Unspoken War on Yemen,
Anglo-American Crimes against Humanity, U.N. and Media Silence, Complicity of “The International Community”, Destruction of an Entire Country…
Is your money that good? Will it buy you forgiveness? Do you think that it could?” (Bob Dylan, b 1941, Masters of War.)

On Tuesday 6th of September, twenty-four hour monitoring by Yemen’s Legal Centre for Rights and Development (LCRD) recorded the bombings by the Saudi led “coalition”, armed by the US and UK and advised by their military specialists, thus collusion and co-operation of both countries render them equally culpable for the carnage.

Yemen has a population of just 24.41 million (2013 figure) and according to the Rural Poverty Portal:

“ … is one of the driest, poorest and least developed countries in the world. It ranks 140 out of 182 countries on the United Nations Development Programme’s Human Development Index (2009). An estimated 42 percent of the people are poor, and one Yemeni in five is malnourished. Poverty is endemic, particularly in more remote and less accessible areas.”

In the one day and night period covered here, attacked were the capital Sana’a and Sa’dah, Marib, AlJawf, Hajjah, Hodeidah....

On September 11, 2001,
one of the most tragic events in recent American history took place. Close to 3,000 civilians lost their lives in horrific terror attacks that took place on American soil. Fifteen years later, it is time to ask the question: have our counterterror efforts helped to reduce the amount of terrorism in the world? Or at the very least, have they tried to make the world safer?

According to a report released by Dr. Neta Crawford, professor of political science at Brown University, spending by the United States Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, and Veteran Affairs since 9/11 is now close to $5 trillion USD. Before we have the chance to ask how a country that has racked up over $19.3 trillion USD in debt can spend $5 trillion USD on war, the focus of this article is to ask: What has all of this spending achieved?
As Reader Supported News reported at the end of last year, terrorism has increased 6,500 percent since 2002 (they probably should rename it “the war of terror”). In 2014, the outlet noted, it was reported that 74 percent of all terror-related casualties occurred in Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Syria. As stated by Paul Gottinger, a staff reporter for Reader Supported News, out of the aforementioned countries, “only Nigeria did not experience either U.S. air strikes or a military occupation in that year.”....

Mind blowing information from the blog below. Have you ever heard of Mrs Kay Griggs? Be prepared to be shocked at what she reveals.
She definitely does not look nor does she sound like a nutcase, at least not to me.  She's not doing it to make money from selling books or going around the "talk circuits" raking in money like many of the other "whistleblowers"  ... her only motive is to show what the Mafia gangsters ruling over us are capable of doing.  This lady is genuine with a genuine G.

Getting Fooled on Iraq, Libya, Now Russia

A British parliamentary inquiry into the Libyan fiasco has reported what should have been apparent from the start in 2011 – and was to some of us – that the West’s military intervention to “protect” civilians in Benghazi was a cover for what became another disastrous “regime change” operation.

The report from the U.K.’s Foreign Affairs Committee confirms that the U.S. and other Western governments exaggerated the human rights threat posed by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and then quickly morphed the “humanitarian” mission into a military invasion that overthrew and killed Gaddafi, leaving behind political and social chaos.

The report’s significance is that it shows how little was learned from the Iraq War fiasco in which George W. Bush’s administration hyped and falsified intelligence to justify invading Iraq and killing its leader, Saddam Hussein. In both cases, U.K. leaders tagged along and the West’s mainstream news media mostly served as unprofessional propaganda conduits, not as diligent watchdogs for the public......
